Chrysler recently made a $179 million investment in their Dundee, MI plant. This created 155 Chrysler Group jobs and 573 industry-wide jobs. The Chrysler Group headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI hired engineers, training, and fleet staff.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee made its first drive review for Car and Driver Magazine to wide acclaim. Their test drivers noted its improved interior "that now befits an entry-luxury SUV." Not only was the car beautiful, but the test vehicles were also "as well behaved [on the road] as they were climbing Moab's stoic rock formations."
